A new blog approaches...
Because, you know, why wouldn't I do this. -- 16 NOV 2024
Woo! OK, so I have this blog now. It's pretty barebones (aside from the insane jank php I used to get here...) and I don't plan on doing anything crazy with it. The goal is to just document semi-frequently the kinds of things that I'm up to lol.
Part of the reason I'm doing this is because I have really awful memory that has only gotten worse in recent years. I'm hoping that by giving myself a cute place to write down my thoughts and activities, I encourage myself to document my life more and give myself a better shot at remembering what I'm up to / how I'm feeling...
Each post will have a little introduction (like this!), a section for things that I'm working on, and a section for things that I've been playing/watching/enjoying/etc. We'll see how long this sticks.
The tasks...
So... What am I working on? Um. Many things.
Other than my full-time job at a primary/urgent care clinic, I have been working on some owed prizes for my server, DEEP SEA ARTSCAPE. It's a slow grind because of how busy I've been with my actual job, but I'm getting through it!
Additionally, I've been slowly chipping away at some smaller game design / game dev projects. Bolt from the Blue hasn't been my biggest priority as of late when it comes to games, but I have been touching up its narrative and worldbuilding quite a bit. I look forward to sharing more on that soon!
What's fun?
I've been playing a lot of Taiko no Tatsujin lately, especially now that I've got my hands on Rhythm Festival on Steam. It's been a lot of fun, especially coming from Drum n' Fun!!
In the past few weeks/months, I've been trying to frequent the local arcade more. I've found it surprisingly difficult for me to introduce myself to the other (rhythm) gamers there, and I'm not entirely sure why. I don't recall ever being this intimidated by other people before.
Fortunately, I have been able to make a few friends at the arcade, though! The rhythm game community here is very strong (but apparently pretty small/tight?), so hopefully I can make some more friends through this avenue!
What I HAVEN'T been doing is playing many JRPGs... I haven't touched SO2R or my Bravely Default re-play in a loooong time. I would like to return to them, but time is not on my side as of late...
